If you've found your way to this page, you're likely a student or parent joining the 2011-12 ninth grade Honors English class at Averill Park High School. We will be using this space to share writing, comment on reading, and discuss issues of general interest to the class.
Some assignments will be posted here, but not all of them, and not necessarily regularly, so be aware this space is a supplement to, not a substitute for, class.
Everyone who visits is welcome to post on class related issues, though we should probably set some ground rules. I will moderate comments, and expect they will be well-written. I encourage you to be critical of readings and each other's writing, but keep it thoughful and avoid personal attacks.
If you have suggestions for discussion topics beyond those I post, please send them to me and I will add them at my discretion.
